About

I’ve been hooked on video games since the Nintendo Entertainment System and for many years during my amazing childhood, it was my first love. Once I started a family, however, this completely changed. Although my wife and my children now come first, gaming is a part of my life that remains important.

Finding ways to make gaming a hobby and no longer a lifestyle has been almost as much of an adventure as playing my favorite games or reading about them in the latest issue of Nintendo Power. I started GamerWithKids.com to help other gamers with families find ways to find the gaming-working-family balance that can be so difficult to achieve. My goal is to help other husbands/fathers and wives/mothers enjoy gaming but in a different way than they did in the days before diapers and PTA meetings.

GamerWithKids.com contains articles with my personal tips that reveal how I’ve managed to make time for work, spending time with my children, keeping my relationship with my wife happy and trying out the latest games. I invite you to comment on these articles and share your own tips. You can also ask questions of me and other readers.

Along with my thoughts on work, family and gaming, Gamer with Kids also serves as home to my personal reviews of some of my favorite and not-so-favorite games. There are also videos and images in many of the reviews to help you see more of a game before you try or buy.

I hope that you’ll find the site informative, fun and helpful. If you have any suggestions about how I can improve the site, please feel free to contact me.
