One of the most useful things about the internet is that it has made parenting, especially educating children, a lot easier than before. That isn’t to say that parents can abdicate their responsibility to the computer to raise their children, but rather that there are now a ton of resources available that parents in the past didn’t have in order to help guide the teaching of their children. Best of all, many of these tools are innovative kids games that are both fun and enlightening.

Halo Reach, the fourth game in the Halo series was a masterpiece of a game because of its renovations on classic Halo elements, and because of its completely new features. Like the Halo games before it, Reach incorporated a unique multiplayer experience. Though the Halo games are not renowned for a great single player experience, Reach’s single player was far superior to ODST’s single player. The Forge map editor, which is arguably the best thing about the Halo series, is back in Reach with a few upgrades. Halo Reach is one of the best sci-fi shooters of the last decade.

Do not take the headline the wrong way. Both Sony’s PlayStation 4 and Microsoft’s Xbox One are incredible gaming systems. At the recent Electronics Entertainment Expo (E3) we got to see some of the amazing games coming out for these systems such as Uncharted 4 on the PlayStation 4 and Halo 5 on the Xbox One – which both look incredible. But as exciting as these consoles are at the moment there really is not enough out there on store shelves to justify buying one! They are slowly reducing the price of the consoles, and if you look hard enough you could find great bundle deals. However, with the short list of titles that are currently out there, you are much better off with your time playing through your backlog of video games that’s been sitting on your shelves – most likely still in shrink wrap (as is the case with me).

Saints Row while at first may have been looked at as nothing more than a Grand Theft Auto rip off. It’s more than fair to say that with each installment the series has really shook off that Grand Theft Auto clone status. Now Saints Row is seen as the craziest sandbox game series that has ever been released.
The Legend of Korra is a very popular US television show that has been gaining a lot of attention since the series began. It is the follow up from the ever popular Avatar: The Last Air Bender anime series. Avatar was one of the most popular shows on television, and The Legend of Korra is turning out to be a great success as well. These two shows tell the story of “benders”, individuals who are able to use elements – water, air, fire and earth. These benders can really be a great source of power in battle.
